Video-game publishing giant Activision Blizzard Inc. said Thursday its second-quarter profit increased by 12% from last year, driven by strong demand for Call of Duty franchise and World of Warcraft as well as lower expenses. However, the company’s shares lost nearly 7% in after-hours, reflecting the investors’ disappointment over the revenue figures and weak outlook.
